Notice is hereby given that Galway County Council has considered a draft SPC Scheme at its meeting on July 22^nd, 2024.

The role of the SPC’S, as committees of the Council, is to consider and advise the Corporate Policy Group and the full Council on matters connected with the formulation, development, monitoring, and review of policy which relate to the functions of the Council, and which are linked to the Corporate Plan.

SPCs bring together both elected members and people actively working with social, community/voluntary, economic, and environmental bodies to assist in the work of the committees.

The draft scheme specifies assignment of sector(s) to each SPC and the number of representatives from each sector for each SPC.

Submissions marked Draft Strategic Policy Scheme 2024-2029  and/or observations from interested parties in relation to the scheme should be submitted to the undersigned not later than 4.00pm on Friday,  23^rd August 2024.
