Letter from Dennis Naughton – future of St Brigid’s Hospital
Email from Denis Naughton, TD to community groups
Subject: I want to hear your thoughts on the future of St Brigid’s Hospital
I am writing to ask for your assistance.
As you are aware St Brigid’s Hospital is an iconic landmark in Ballinasloe and I am currently embarking on a project – hopefully with your help – which aims to explore potential new uses for the site. I believe this is a site with enormous potential and this project will be the first step in reimagining what the future could hold for it.
Your perspective and insights would be invaluable and as such I am asking for a few moments of your time to complete a short online survey, which will ask questions around your opinions of Ballinasloe, how you use the town and its amenities, and what you think is missing from the area.
This is an exploratory process only and each survey response will be read and analysed and form part of a wider discussion on the potential future use of this site. I will be working on this project with Enterprise-Ireland-backed start-up Connect the Dots, specialists in meaningfully bringing people together to explore common challenges and develop innovative solutions, who will guide this process.
I would be grateful if you could fill out the survey by April 23rd, and also if you could share it with any local groups, organisations, individuals etc who may wish to contribute to the debate as I want to ensure as many voices as possible are heard.
The survey can be found on: www.DenisNaughten.ie/reimagining-st-brigids/
This is your opportunity to have a say in what you think the future of St. Brigid’s Hospital should look like – I look forward to hearing your views & thank you for your time.
Kind regards,
Denis
