Dear Members of Galway County Public Participation Network (PPN),

DEADLINE FOR VOTING EXTENDED TO WEDNESDAY 28TH AUGUST 2024.

We have received nominations from within the PPN membership, to fill the positions of three PPN Representative roles in August 2024.
Nomination forms and information on the positions were emailed to all PPN members over the past few weeks.

• Two PPN Reps on the Board of Galway Rural Development (GRD) – Voting only from PPN Member Groups in East Galway County Only, anywhere except Connemara Municipal District.

• One PPN Rep for Claregalway Public Art Selection Panel (per cent for art) – Voting only from PPN Member Groups in Claregalway and surrounding areas in Galway County.

LINK TO ONLINE VOTING SYSTEM has been emailed to all PPN member groups. Pleas vote via that link. 

We now kindly ask your group to cast ONE VOTE for your group’s preferred candidate, per position, meaning you can cast one vote for each committee or board with a vacancy.
In this election, a maximum of 2 votes total per PPN Group – one for the GRD Board member position, and one for the Claregalway Public Art Panel.

• A vote is from the whole of your PPN member group by consensus, and not a vote from an individual person.
• Your group must be registered with the PPN as being located in or operating in the required geographical are to vote for each position – i.e. East Galway for GRD or Claregalway for the Public Art Panel.

Names and Bio’s of the candidates as well as further information on the election process, are available in the Survey Monkey poll which has been emailed to PPN Members. Survey Monkey is being used to collect the election votes.

Voting is anonymous, with one vote per group. DEADLINE FOR VOTING EXTENDED TO 28TH AUGUST 2024.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Only PPN Groups registered in/operating in the designated areas of Galway County are eligible to vote for each position:
• For Galway Rural Development = Groups in the Municipal Districts of: Athenry, Ballinasloe, Loughrea, Tuam (anywhere besides Connemara).
• For Claregalway Public Art Selection Panel = Groups in and around the Claregalway area.
• Only one vote per PPN Member Group, per position (please decide with your group and submit one vote for the group, not a vote from an individual member – additional votes from the same organisation will be deemed ineligible).
• Vote once for your preferred candidate for one of the GRD board positions only.
• Voting only allowed from PPN full member groups (not associate members).
• Closing Date is Wednesday 28th August 2024 at 11:45 p.m.
