Public Consultation Forum for Tuam Regeneration – Expressions of Interest
Galway County Council are in the process of producing a Regeneration Masterplan for Tuam Town and would like to invite expressions of interest for membership of the Tuam Regeneration Forum. The first Public Consultation event was a drop-in session held at the Tuam Area Office on 10th March, however, due to Covid 19 restrictions, future public consultation events for the Tuam Regeneration Masterplan will predominantly be via an online platform.
In order to reach a broad spectrum of local people, we are seeking representatives from approximately 15 different Groups within the town to attend 2 consultation meetings, in person, on the Regeneration Masterplan. These meetings must be limited to 16 people in order to comply with social distancing.
Representation is invited from the following Groups and each individual Group is permitted only 1 member to attend and be the point of contact for feeding information from the consultation events back to their group members. The below list is indicative and not exhaustive:
- Business Community in Tuam
- Community & Voluntary Groups / Organisations
- Cultural / Arts Groups
- Education/health promotion groups
- Historic & Heritage Societies
- Social Inclusion/Support Groups
- Sports Clubs and Societies
- Tidy Towns / Environmental Groups
- Youth Groups & Children’s Groups

Please register your interest by submitting the Expression of Interest Form via e-mail to [email protected] or by post to Urban & Rural Regeneration Team, Economic, Rural and Community Development, Aras an Chontae, Prospect Hill, Galway H91 H6KX.
